Charlie Barshaw lost his job nine years ago, and his optimistic and supportive spouse, Ruth, asked him to follow her into the writing life and join SCBWI. Since then, they've bobbed right above the poverty line, and he's never been happier.

Thanks for the kind shout-out about Literary Rambles, Charlie. I really appreciate it because it takes most of my own writing time to keep it up. Great to see all the other blogs too. As time-consuming as they are, I still think that blogs are a great way to network with other writers who can help you when your book is published.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Charlie and Team Mitten. I agree with Natalie although my blog doesn't require nearly as much time as hers! Blogging is a great connector and if writers are creating original posts as part of their blog, it also helps them hone their voices, too. (AND gives editors and agents -- who could be watching -- a chance to learn more about your voice and style.) Win, win, win.
